DTM fully admits he still has a major crush on Belinda Carlisle. So, when The Menace was invited to interview her and Jane Wiedlin at their recent Mountain Winery concert he said, "Yes! Yes!" He found out that Jane lives in Central America with no phone, t.v. or radio, and Belinda has lived in France for 10 years now, and is taking wine and cooking classes. Tough life!
But they both submitted to recording some really dumb I.D.'s including: "Hi, This Is Jane Wiedlin From The Go Go’s and we've seen Dennis The Menace dance and while he told us to keep our lips sealed about that "experience" we're sorry to say while he definitely has the feet, he ain't got the Beat!"
BTW: Dennis put his high school yearbook photography experience to the test with these snaps of the band from the concert. (They wouldn’t let him take pictures during the interview because some make-up was yet to be applied!) Jane: I have absolutely no ties, no day job, no kids, no husband. I can do what ever the heck I want so I thought [I] really need to exercise this right before [I’m] too old to do anything about it. LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW
DTM: To have survived through the 80s was a remarkable accomplishment in itself because the record companies gave you all the drugs you wanted. Belinda: People expected me to me an artist and flaky and a drug addict so I fit in to that so I said "Okay, well, give me the drugs”. LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW
