DTM: You’re a female lead singer in a band. You’re attractive – and there are two types of people who are going to see this band: Those who are are “Oh man, I just want to kick ass with her.” And then there are going to be the others that “Make A Man” is all about!
Estrons: Depends on how you want to look at “Make A Man.” It could be about sexual attraction which is quite a nice one. It could be about – it’s actually quite embarrassing. When I wrote it, I was going out with a guy and I was really angry at him for constantly losing his jobs, when I was working really hard in hospitality at the time and so I wrote…lyrics right on the spot when he was texting me something that annoyed me! I played it to him afterwards and he’s like “What are you writing about? Are those lyrics about me? Are you trying to say I’m not a man?” And I’m like “No, no, no, it’s about sexual attraction! It’s about me being attracted to guys.” And he said, “Guys???” And I said "You! You! You!”
DTM: That’s why he’s your ex!
