DTM: Putting this album together…you didn't deliberately say, "This is going to be folky, and this is going to be loud, and this is going to require the full band onstage.
Dan Croll: I think you're dead on there. For me, I can tell when I listen to an album that's been tuned to radio, it's all been done in one great posh studio, it's all had one guy mixing it, and you find these tracks that you skip over – I call them fillers. Those albums can have a theme and that can be a massive downfall to an artist. For me, this album was all about creating a mix tape.
